Area of origin: Central Asia, China, Japan Korea.

Adult Dimensions: Height up to 3m (9,8'), width up to 2m (6,6').

Foliage: Deciduous.

Soil Type: All. Avoid that which is too wet.

Hardiness: Hardy to -18°C.

Exposure: Semi-shade to full sun.

Characteristics and Uses:
This shrub flowers from May to September. The little flowers are a magnificent carmine red colour which look fantastic against the foliage. Weigelias can be planted alone, in a group or within a mixed hedge or bed.
