Geographic Origins: East of the Mediterranean.

Adult size: Height up to 30cm, width up to 30cm.

Foliage: Evergreen.

Type of soil: All, prefers dry conditions.

Hardiness: Resists passing frosts. Protect from the wind and wet, or grow it as an annual.

Position: Full light.

Characteristics and uses:
Knotted marjoram is a perennial plant that is perfect for rockeries.
Its leaves can be used either fresh or dried to flavour many cooked dishes. Its taste is more delicate than origan. Knotted marjoram flowers in July/ August.
