Area of origin: Europe, northern Asia.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 1.5m , width up to 1.5m (4,9').
Foliage: Deciduous.
Soil Type: All.

Exposure: Full sun.
Characteristics and Uses:
The hairy leaves are green on top and white underneath. The branches are red. This shrub is used for creating low hedges, planting banks and alongside waterways in dry areas.
