Properties and uses:
Its superb Crimson blossom flowers of 15 centimetres in diameter, appear from June through to October. The fruits of this clematis are equally decorative.
This clematis performs as well in containers as planted in the garden. It likes to climb around tree trunks or along fences. It combines extremely well with white clematis.
It likes to have its roots in the shade and its head in the sun.
It will thrive on a light regular watering coupled with mulching. Pruning early March will encourage it to develop its branches and reinvigorate after very cold winters.
